Welcome to Wheat Creek Outpost, where campfires crackle, lanterns glow, and the night sky stretches wide above you. On our quiet 30-acre hideaway, three canvas tents wait to be your home base for adventure. Each one has the comforts you need, a private bathroom, heating and air conditioning, and a small kitchenette, so you can spend your days exploring and your nights resting easy.
Tent 1
The Perch

The Perch is our largest glamping tent and offers our most immersive connection to the outdoors. While fully climate-controlled for year-round comfort, on beautiful days the canvas walls can be opened wide, filling the tent with fresh mountain air. Oversized Serengeti-style canvas doors lead onto a covered, screened porch, where the screens can also be rolled away, blurring the line between indoors and out and giving you that true sleeping-under-canvas feeling, just with all the comforts of a boutique stay.

The Dog Wood

Set high above one of our ponds, The Dogwood feels like a private retreat tucked among the trees. Its elevated setting and nearly 360 degrees of windows surround you with views of the woods and water, creating the feeling of a luxurious tree house beneath canvas. Step onto the covered porch with your morning coffee, listen to the sounds of the pond below, and settle into the quiet of the surrounding forest.
The Dogwood is a short walk-up from the parking area, with a rolling luggage cart provided for easy unloading. The Camp Lodge is just a short stroll away, keeping you close to the comforts of camp while still feeling wonderfully tucked away.

The Spotted Horse

The Spotted Horse is the newest addition to Wheat Creek and has quickly become one of our favorite little corners of camp. Inspired by our home in the heart of horse country, you’ll find warm, equestrian touches throughout the tent that give it a character all its own.
Tucked back in the woods and farthest from the Camp Lodge, The Spotted Horse feels especially peaceful and private—a lovely spot to slow down, sit on the porch, and enjoy being surrounded by nature. It’s a short walk-up, about 100 yards from its designated parking area, and we provide a luggage cart to make getting settled in easy.

We love welcome four-legged guests to Wheat Creek! Each tent can accommodate up to two well-behaved pups for $20 per pet, per night. To help them feel right at home, we provide food and water bowls, a cozy dog bed and blanket, plus a special welcome treat. We simply ask that pups join you on your adventures and aren’t left behind in the tent unattended, even when crated.
Wheat Creek Camp Lodge
Porch & Provisions
The Camp Lodge is a cozy gathering place for slow mornings, afternoon hangouts, and easy evenings, one of those little touches that makes Wheat Creek truly feel like camp. Open daily from 8 AM–9 PM, the Lodge is a relaxed, self-serve space where you’re welcome to come and go as you please. You’ll often find your hosts around in the mornings and evenings, but otherwise, make yourself at home. If something in the Camp Store catches your eye, just let us know what you’d like and we’ll settle everything up before you head home.
